All of our internships are flexible with regard to length of time and number of hours worked per week, which allows students to take classes while completing their internships. Interns will work at the Julie LaTerra Homes Design Center conveniently located across from Concord Mills Mall in Concord, NC

Stipend Only
The planned internship stipend will be $1,000 upon completion of a 15-week internship. Further details will be given to those awarded a stipend.
THE ROLE
Web & Social Media is a stipend only Internship with Julie LaTerra Homes, a successful and fast growing custom home building company. We are looking for someone who can hit the ground running with a focus on using social media to publish content, engage our audience and encourage reader-generated news, photos, videos and more, as well as maintain and develop company websites.
THE OPPORTUNITY
Great opportunity for student majoring in Marketing, Communications, PR or English. You will be exposed to how a successful custom home builder business is run including web marketing, public relations and business development.

JOB DESCRIPTION
Develop and participate in blogs.
Creating and sending email blasts.
Increase our profile on external social networks such as Digg, Twitter, Facebook, YouTube and more.
Help integrate reader-generated content into our primary site, JulieLaTerraHomes.com
Submit for search engine optimization.
Develop and maintain internet discussion groups.
Maintain and improve the Company website.
Support and develop potential new sites.
Help develop training for colleagues on the power and function of social media.
QUALIFICATIONS
Great writing skills with sounds news judgment. The goal is to bring customers into the design center to buy our homes.
Experience with Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and/or Dreamweaver is a big plus.
Specific skills (html, visual design, etc) are useful.
Cheerful, upbeat, personable demeanor.
Comprehensive understanding of the Internet and “Web 2.0”
Ability to commit to working generally 10-20 hours per week.
Ability to work independently in a timely manner – don’t need to be told what to do, can keep yourself busy based on a task list.
